James was invited to moderate a conversation with Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, at the 45th St. Gallen Symposium on May 8, 2015. James has been appointed China Advocate for the UN Women HeForShe Campaign. The presentation was held at Tsinghua University in Beijing on April 12, 2015, and led by UN Women Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, Roberta Clarke. HeForShe is the global solidarity movement for gender equality that has been creating headlines ¬†since it was launched at the UN General Assembly in New York last September…

World Health Day


Since 1950, World Health Day has been marked every April 7. A lot has changed in the 65 years since, not least the way our food is being manufactured, processed and consumed, and the theme this year reflects that fundamental shift: From Farm to Plate, Make Food Safe. James has hosted a debate on this subject, that was created by the World Health Organisation with its partners at Sina Weibo. With panelists representing industry, government, consumers, and the European Union, the show explores what is causing food safety in China today, the impact this is also having on its exports globally, as well the role of government and other key stakeholders.
